A Gaussian Splat is a small blurred ellipsoid in 3D.
Its
color changes depending on the viewing angle.
Starting with photos,
thousands of these ellipsoids are optimized, much like training an AI model, until they faithfully reproduce the original images.

I was immediately captivated by this technology.
It inspired me to
develop a dedicated workflow designed to create premium, lively, and immersive interactive experiences.
For this 3D hamburger, I conducted a series of demanding tests to develop an optimized and reusable capture scene.
This work allowed me to produce more than 500 4K images of the burger, covering every angle, texture, and light nuance.
Next, I developed an internal process in Metashape to obtain an extremely dense and stable capture, guaranteeing high-quality interactive rendering.
Finally, all the data was integrated into Spotshot to bring to life a fluid, accurate, and detailed interactive experience, revealing each layer of the hamburger with striking realism.
